The RN is responsible for delivering patient-centered services in accordance with the TrueCare policies, procedures, and standards. This includes providing nurse triage services and health advice, performing routine office procedures, and testing, and participating in patient education. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains own clinical skills staying current in skills, equipment, and trends in nursing, Efficiently and effectively provides total patient care including assessment, care, teaching, care planning, medications, and treatments.  
  • Assess and triage sick patients who walk in and arrange for their care consistent with TrueCare guidelines.  
  • Assist providers or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments, as directed or required. 
  • Collaborate with providers and patients to assess urgency of patient problems, resolve questions concerning medications, health education, and medical advice within skill level and scope of practice. 
  • Administer medications, as ordered by provider. Administer vaccines, apply, and read TB Skin tests. Ensure vaccines are ordered and an inventory system maintained.  
  • Enter patient care, clinical data, and findings in the electronic health record (EHR) system. 
  • Order and interpret specific laboratory tests; review patient’s history and communicate findings to the provider. 
  • Oversee immunizations to assure compliance with program requirements. 
  • Assist in the orientation of new personnel and provide nursing staff coverage. 
  • Assist in coordination of nursing schedule to ensure nursing coverage during all hours of operation including Saturdays and coordination of medical services to all patients. 
  • Shadow staff on skill competency, as needed, to ensure proper workflow processes and procedures are followed. 
  • Monitor and evaluate support staff on clinical skills competencies, as directed. 
  • Maintain Title XXII up to date, the expiration update on all medications and lab supplies and discard per TrueCare protocol, when necessary.  
  • Assist Clinic Manager in the preparation for audits conducted by various agencies.  
  • Serve as a point of contact for back-office staff with questions, issues, or patient related conflicts. When unable to address issues independently bring them to the attention of the Clinic Manager.  
  • Follow TrueCare policies and procedures for efficient department operations, reporting requirements, and maintaining quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.  
  • Shadow staff on skills competency as needed to ensure proper workflow processes and procedures are followed. 
  • Oversee/monitor and assist in the training of new and existing staff. 
  • Keeps up to date on policies and procedures changes and educates clinical staff (MA’s) of changes. 
  • Enhance patient visits with clinician by providing ongoing education to patients about treatment, disease process, health maintenance and medication adherence.  
  • Support and takes part in meeting and training seminar to continue education, knowledge, skills, and professional competence of the clinical staff.  
  • Provides counseling and health education for patients and families when needed.  
​Schedule is Monday to Friday 10 am to 7pm
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Graduate of an accredited California School of Professional Nursing. 
  • Current California State Board RN license. 
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, teams, and Word. 
  • Availability to work a variable schedule, extended hours and/or Saturday shifts.  
  • Posses the ability to work independently and as team member. 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.  
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse. 
  • Nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic and/or community health care setting. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but no needed. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, legal and technical aspects of a medical records system, and ICD-10 and CPT codes.

The pay range for this role is $45 - $62 on an hourly basis.

If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
