The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for coordinating and assisting in planning, developing, implementing, and tracking plans to expand TrueCare presence. The position is also responsible for working with internal and external partners to identify programs, which meet department objectives, and assist in project management and implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage in delivery of community programs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the department plan.
  • Ensure all reports are submitted on a timely basis and that budgets are spent appropriately.
  • Develop annual community program budget and operating plan for each program.
  • Collaborate with community members to determine community health needs.
  • Collect and analyze data to learn about a particular community and develop goals to improve access to TrueCare programs and services.
  • Actively represent TrueCare at community meetings to build relationships and seek opportunities to introduce community partners to TrueCare services, achievements, and opportunities.
  • Identify and recommend partnerships that align with the Strategic Plan to enhance TrueCare presence in the community.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key interest holders in the community.
  • Participate in events and collaborate with appropriate TrueCare staff to coordinate TrueCare involvement.
  • Seek out and recommend new programs to improve organizational services and enhance the patient experience.
  • Implement and manage interventions within community program directives.
  • Coordinate the development of appropriate tracking metrics and coordinate the collection and data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, health education, public health or other health related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to two (1-2) years’ experience in healthcare related field  
  • One to two (1-2) years’ experience coordinating a community-based program.
  • Knowledge of public and private social services agencies, community resources, including Federal and State programs.
  • Computer literacy working with PC-based software applications and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The pay range for this role is $23 - $32.20 on an hourly basis.

If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
