The Communications Manager works under the direction of the Public Information and Philanthropy Officer and is responsible for supporting the external and internal representation of TrueCare across all organizational levels. This role coordinates, executes, tracks, and analyzes internal/external communications and supports strategic organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. The Communications Manager manages storytelling and content strategy for internal and external campaigns through various traditional and digital channels and promotions materials, including newsletters, press releases, media monitoring reports and more. This includes collaborating closely with other departments and stakeholders, as well as collaborating with outside agencies and partners. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation & Distribution: Lead strategic planning and development of creative content with attention to detail to be used in staff and public/patient-facing content such as leadership presentations, blogs, web pages, press releases, emails, video scripting, advertising, social media, newsletters, text messaging, and other communications programs. Ensure alignment between patient and employee-facing content.
  • Analysis: Create, maintain, and present monthly media reports tracking digital and print media, including impact and success stories, community involvement, achievements, collaborations, and partnerships. Provide strategic recommendations for compelling storytelling that attracts media coverage.
  • Communications Representative: Lead and oversee content development for internal and external communications. Collaborate with marketing team to capture engaging images for TrueCare events, social media, and internal emails. Work across multiple departments to promote and recap events, including but not limited to health fairs, clinical initiatives, events, etc., that support organizational goals and align with the TrueCare brand. Develop and assign patient and staff stories that tell the organization’s story. Represent internal and external communications strategy at stakeholder meetings.
  • Brand Ambassador:  Facilitate key messaging across all channels, including but not limited to website, print materials, collaterals, newsletters, online (social media, digital, etc.) and other channels. Manage and ensure brand messages are maintained both internally and externally. Maintain key messaging documentation and organizational fact sheet for consistent messaging at all levels across the organization.
  • Public Relations Lead: Collaborate with PIPO to strategize public relations initiatives, including media relations and media inquiries, press releases, event publicity, launches (services, locations), awards, and crisis communication, to effectively manage TrueCare’s image and reputation to patients and the local community. Manage PR agency relationship and speaker’s bureau.
  • Online Community Engagement: Coordinate with Patient Retention/Engagement Department and Quality Department to manage reviews, comments on social/public channels.
  • Industry and Competitive Tracking: Proactively keep current on industry trends and news, competitive activity, general communication trends, and other relevant information. Takes on additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations preferred; Communications experience with a BA/BS or above in a related subject will also be considered.
  • 5-7 years' experience in communications, preferably in the health care industry.
  • Working knowledge of social media marketing, corporate communication, copywriting, and media relations.
  • Availability to travel and/or work occasionally outside of normal shifts (e.g., 8am to 5pm)

The pay range for this role is $90,776 to $136,165 on an annual basis.
