Under the direction of the Mobile manager, drives the Mobile unit to events, sets up the mobile and then checks in and outpatients. Driving any of the mobile units will be necessary as well as ensuring proper patient registration processes, billing processed and maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and customer service. Maintaining the mobile units compliant with title XXll monthly reporting. Maximize opportunities to cross refer patients from dental to medical and medical to dental.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive the mobile to all scheduled events.
  • Perform the pre-trip inspection list before driving the mobile daily. Note any discrepancies on the checklist and inform the Mobile Supervisor.
  • Drive the mobile to all scheduled events.
  • Help manager maintain contact with site supervisors for medical and update them of any changes as it pertains to schedule changes.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork including FACT sheets, GFE and patient registration, are complete and accurate for all patients.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and program eligibility requirements for all patients.
  • Screen patients and obtain proof of income according to TrueCare protocols to qualify for sliding fee scale discount.
  • Check patients in, verifying patient identification, address, phone number(s), billing information and demographics.
  • Inform patients of TrueCare services, policies and procedures.
  • Qualify self-pay patients, according to TrueCare protocols, for any available programs the patient qualifies for and accurately enter data into Epic.
  • Review the “Agriculture/Migrant” question with patients according to current protocol and accurately enter data into Epic.
  • Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and take detailed messages when necessary.
  • Provide GFE to patients.
  • Accept payments and follow accounting procedures for a journal.
  • Stay up to date with all patient registration requirements and changes.
  • Make confirmation calls to mobile clinic patients.
  • Perform pre-registration for clinic patients.
  • Float to clinics in need when mobile is not in service.
  • Assist patients getting in and out of mobile vehicle.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness. Including waste removal coordination and washing.
  • Promptly report any damage to vehicle to Mobile Manager and Sr. Director of Operations.
  • Arrange for maintenance of mobile unit including fuel

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Safe driving and on time operation of the mobile unit.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative/clerical experience.
  • Familiarity with medical and/or dental terminology.
  • Knowledge of professional and ethical standards of health care delivery.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Word, and with electronic health record data entry.
  • Availability to work outside of normal shifts (e.g., 8am to 5pm) and on Saturdays.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business/office administration, healthcare administration or related field.
  • Medical and/or dental receptionist office experience.
  • Experience working in a community health clinic setting

The pay range for this role is $21 - $29 on an hourly basis.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
